NEW INDICATION & DOSAGE
Treatment of asthma and other inflammatory conditions, various endocrine conditions and palliation for certain neoplastic conditions--
Adults: Initially, 5 to 60 mg P.O.; maintain at lowest possible dosage. Withdraw gradually over 4 weeks if used long-term or at a high-dosage.
Pediatric patients: Initially, 0.14 to 2 mg/kg/day in three to four divided doses (4 to 60 mg/m2/day); maintain at lowest possible dosage.
ADJUST-A-DOSE:
Dosage should be individualized according to severity of disease and patient response. For guidelines for specific disorders, see package insert.
