NEW INDICATION & DOSAGE
In combination with other antiretrovirals, to treat HIV-1 infection in pediatric patients; dosage is based on body weight--
Children ages 6 to 18: Treatment-naïve patients—for patients weighing 15 to 25 kg, give 150 mg atazanavir with 80 mg ritonavir; for patients weighing 25 to 32 kg, give 200 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir; for patients weighing 32 to 39 kg, give 250 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir; for patients weighing more than 39 kg, give 300 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir
Treatment-experienced patients—for patients weighing 25 to 32 kg, give 200 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir; for patients weighing 32 to 39 kg, give 250 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir; for patients weighing more than 39 kg, give 300 mg atazanavir with 100 mg ritonavir.
