AVAILABLE FORMS
Kit: 1 vial BAC2 (55-85 mg/ml fibrinogen) and 1 vial thrombin (800-1200 International Units/ml thrombin) with a spray application device

INDICATIONS AND DOSAGES
Adjunct to hemostasis for use in patients undergoing liver or vascular surgery when control of bleeding by standard surgical techniques is ineffective or impractical--
Adults: Spray or drip onto the tissue in short bursts (0.1 to 0.2 ml) to produce a thin, even layer; if hemostasis isn’t complete, a second layer may be applied.
Children: Reserve use for liver surgery only.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND CAUTIONS
Contraindicated in patients with history of anaphylactic or severe systemic reaction to human blood products and in those with severe or brisk arterial bleeding.
   Contraindicated as a direct injection into the circulatory system.
   Use cautiously in pregnant or breast-feeding women.

INTERACTIONS
None reported.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
CV: bradycardia.
Other: anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity reaction.

Reactions may be common, uncommon, life-threatening, or
COMMON AND LIFE-THREATENING.
