AVAILABLE FORMS
Tablets: 5 mg amlodipine/20 mg olmesartan; 10 mg amlodipine/20 mg olmesartan; 5 mg amlodipine/40 mg olmesartan, 10 mg amlodipine/40 mg olmesartan
INDICATIONS AND DOSAGES
Hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensives--
Adults: Drug may be substituted for its individually titrated components; maximum dosage 10 mg amlodipine/40 mg olmesartan per day P.O.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND CAUTIONS
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, and in second and third trimester of pregnancy.
Use cautiously in patients with history of impaired renal function, impaired hepatic function, salt depletion, severe CAD, known heart failure.
INTERACTIONS
None reported.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
CNS: dizziness, somnolence, headache.
CV: edema, hypotension, flushing, palpitations.
GI: vomiting.
GU: acute renal failure.
Hepatic: jaundice, elevated liver enzymes.
Musculoskeletal: rhabdomyolysis.
Skin: alopecia, pruritus, urticaria.
Reactions may be common, uncommon, life-threatening,
or COMMON AND LIFE-THREATENING.
